Valley of the Wing is a literate feral cat Play-by-Post RPG based on the series of novels, titled "Warriors", by Erin Hunter. This RPG features feral cats that live in Clans and Guilds, as well as lone cats (Loners) and housecats (Kittypets). For more information on these terms, please visit Ranks and Warrior Terms.
In this particular RPG, we focus on a parallel group of Clan cats and their Guild counterparts, as well as some Loners (Kittypets play only a very minor role in the RPG). They are not related by any means to the original Clans except for the belief system and hierarchy. We have our own history, our own territory, and our own plot -- thus no spoilers for eager readers. Even so, we encourage you to read the first series of the "Warriors" novels to gain a deeper insight to the traditions of the Clan.
We are one of the few RPGs that present two points of view on the same subject matter, and one of the even fewer that incorporates real-life events into fantasy. Even if you would not join us, please do take a look around the site and leave comments, so that we know how to improve.
StarClan wishes you a safe journey.

Gathering concluded... Wow, one-month-long!

There used to be four Clans. That is, until the two harbingers came.
The one, the Balustrades, believes the feline world should be led by toms and seeks to overwhelm the last two Clans struggling to resist. With them are their rivals, the Clairvoyance, who seek to lead the world of cats under the rule of a woman. They're competing against the Balustrade squad for control over GhostClan and LeafClan, not satisfied with already destroying the other two Clans.
GhostClan and LeafClan are trying their best to resist being overwhelmed but it's obvious the mountain cats are stronger. Will they survive long enough to make peace with the usurpers who believe it's their divine right to rule over all?
Torn is a literate domestic cat roleplay, newly started, with elements of both Warrior Cats and Equine/Wolf-style RPs. While the two surviving Clans are run on a leader-deputy system, the Balustrade and Claivoyance chiefs and betas can be challenged for dominance.
Will you join us? Or will you be torn due to the conflict?

The human race soon died from the over poplution in the year 1930. By the year 1950, the equine race had taken over the lands when they started to restore themselves. They split into five differnet sections, North, South, East, West, and the Outcast. So much for world peace. The north always seems to be the nices. Giving and helping for others. The south on the other hand was the worst. They killed everything that had made them mad. They were nothing like the north. They hated the north. On either sides of them lied the East and West. They seemed like a audience just sitting back and watching, but the moment the East and North became allies, so did the West and South. What about the Outcast? No one really knows. They always seem to mind their own buisness ignoring all four sides together. Rumors have it that one day they will take over all the lands make it theirs, but how could that small group do that? Impossible, right?
While all the arguing is going on, a unknown mare made a cave in the mountains. No one was sure of it at first, but with a few vistiing, some came back with 'powers' as they called it. No one is completely sure of the whole story. Some say is was an Outcast, others say that it never really exist. You find out.

The year is currently 2500. The whole human race died out nearly three hundred years ago due to a huge nuclear war that swept across the world, killing nearly everything in its path although some animals managed to survive. Horses being one of them. All of the remaining animals began to florish as the world pieced itself back together. Without the humans trees and plants grew everywhere, no pollution or anything to kill them. The animals lived in harmony, most of the predators extinct, nothing to kill them. Horses begun to rule, and as they did their intelligence increased. They begun to take on human like traits.
There were horses of all types, horses who were so kind that they were even nice to the evil. Horses who were stuck in the middle and shared traits of both godly and evil. Then there were those who were so caught up in causing death and depression that they hardly thought of anything else. Those who were evil, frequently called the damned, wanted to rule. But of course those who were so godly didn't want them to as it would put an end to their perfect haven and drape it in darkness forever. Those who were caught in the middle really didn't care seeing as they could live either way. The damned and the godly felt as though a war was brewing. They could feeling it coming. The ones who were both damned and godly could feel it to and simply chose not to fight, but some of the neutrals rebelled and chose a side or just fought in between.
It wasn't only a war that harmed to end the new peaceful state of the world. An influenza is spreading, any animal can catch it. Any creature within a half mile radius of one who is infected has a chance of getting sick themselves. The influenza has no boundaries, it is mutating to find a way to kill anything in its path, if it doesnt kill the creature it has infected, it would be a miracle. The influenza threatens the horses to a death sentence, they have to find a cure or something that will stop it in its path. But as the influenza mutates these possibilities of stopping it seem impossible. Those few that survived this illness they have found that it has changed them forever.
On top of the war and influenza there has been sightings of a pack of three rather large looking cats. They are similar to the tiger but almost double the size and way more ferocious. These cats of no boundaries and will kill basically anything that moves. These new predators have an incredible bloodlust and even when their thirst quenched they still lurk just for the excitement of the kill. There are many mysteries surrounding these creatures because of their incredible speed, blood thirst and red eyes. They hold similarities to vampires just in a cat form. These cats never finish eating their prey, they just seem to drain it of blood. They have incredible speed and strength, they seem to have amazing hearing and scent. And they are very quiet, they seem to be the perfect predator. These creatures have earned the name of 'vampire cat'.
With these odd blood thirsty cats on the loose, the influenza and a brewing war, none of the equines are safe. Will the horses somehow work together and defeat the cats? It's unlikely seeing how the damned and the godly are feuding non-stop. Will the influenza suddenly disappear, or will a cure be found? Unlikely again. Will the war be forgotten and the equines live in harmony? Yet again unlikely.
Could this be the end of the lovely horses that have roamed the earth for so long? Or will they find incredible strength and fight for their lives?

Quick plot: A long time ago, a little girl named Ann lay in her bed. She couldn't sleep. A bright, twinking light shone out of the window onto her pillow. It was night time, in her orphanage. The light hurt her eyes, as if it was calling her. She sighed. She soon got off of her bed and crept slowly to the window, if someone heard her she would get in trouble. When she looked out the window she could see a slim figure, with 4 legs. Her heart pounded. It was pitch black. The horse had a large apple in its mouth. It would blow into the children's windows. Soon it walked across the road, into Anne's house. It came into her door and nuzzled her. Ann knew she had fallen in love. She soon mounted the stag, soon riding him far away. Soon she happily became lost. She was glad she was AWAY from the orphanage. She dismounted the horse. She sighed. "How will we get back?" She questioned, mostly to herself. She looked to the horse. She pat him. "I'll name you Impact."
AND THATS HOW THE STORY BEGAN. . .
Ann and Impact were on a island. She hadn't realized it. She had gone so far. They were on a faraway island. It was quite a large island. There was no human on that island. Sadly. One day. . .though just one day. . .she saw Impact, flying, soon she saw him breathing fire, then she saw him building dirt mountains, soon she saw him breathing water. Somthing was wrong. He was a Achillea. Wow. He was the king of all horses on the island. Ann soon was found, leaving Impact alone. Impact soon found more herds, and more, herds of horses. It was amazing. He was happy to have friends. The apple was no longer in his mouth. Everyone respected him. It was awesome. And thats how it stayed.

Prophecy soon became history, History soon became a story, A story soon became a legend, A legend soon became a myth, And a myth soon became all but forgotten. But there are things that shouldn't be forgotten, Lest history repeat itself...
K’tara whirled around and raced towards a cliff. As she neared the edge she stopped and turned to face the band of males as lightning flashed around her. “You never figured it out did you?” She laughed, her voice having an otherworldly edge to it that slowly made the males back up a few steps. “Your first Alpha was killed for his treacherous ways toward females as was your second Alpha! Now your third Alpha lies dead for the same crime and yet you want to kill me, the victim!” She laughed a scornful, evil laugh as her eyes slowly changed to a red color and her pelt began to change from pristine white to the shade of a deep dark blackness that seemed to slowly engulf them all. “Devi thought you would learn your lesson when Vesna came, bearing three messages from her, but you never got it and you never will. You will all pay for your crimes and one day another will set foot on these lands to avenge the blood and tears shed here by females! And when that day comes, your seed will learn what it is like to live as slaves and all will remember my words and then, THEN!” Her laughing grew louder and louder as lightning flashed wildly around them and thunder roared overhead. Suddenly, K’tara leaped off the cliff. In midjump a bolt of lightning hit her and she vanished.
Two days later a lone wolf reported to a neighboring pack that while he was passing through the area looking for a pack to join, he'd come across something very strange. The loner said that he'd come across a stretch of land that had been clearly marked by a pack in the area, but a thorough search for them showed there weren't any wolves within a 25 mile radius. It was like they had all disappeared…
200 years have passed and while the fragmented story of Devi and Vesna Devi float around, no one believes it anymore. Devi is considered nothing more than a fairy tale and Vesna Devi - ha, who's that? But unknowingly, a young female named Aiyana has fulfilled the forgotten prophecy by founding the Kashaku pack on the very lands Vesna Devi said she would. The fact no one believes Devi or Vesna Devi exists anymore doesn't bother Devi in the slightest. Afterall, she's not done yet. Oh no, her punishment against the males has only begun...
